Marching in the mountains of Poland in the seventies, I would never have imagined I would leave the beauty of Poland. Krakow was “Grand Central Station”, where I departed from many times to go explore the seaside, mountains, and irresistible charm and diversity of each small towns that I passed through on my vacation adventures.
I was there, in the center of Krakow’s busy city, that I developed my passion for teaching. Impatient to start my career, I accelerated a Masters degree in Mathematics. I needed to project that I can take my passion for life, my curiosity, and my experienced adventures and incorporate them into a new style of teaching. Eight years of this “new style” teaching advanced mathematics had brought me much joy to see my students succeed.
1980 year, one of the most critical strategic infliction points in my life… my emigration to the United States. A new career path took me to the crest of the information technology wave. Completing a degree in computer science had kept me surfing on the “TI” wave for twenty additional years until it finally crashed. The crash was a blessing in disguise as I was drawn back into teaching, my true passion.
I am in my forth year as a Polish teacher at Collin County Community College. Presently I have an opportunity to work with a Polish American Organization to teach Polish along with Polish History, geography and culture. I am thrilled to get to know many students that will be immersed in Polish culture and language in my lessons. My goal is to reconnect students to their family in Poland.
